While a lot of the hype surrounded Santiago Gimenez going into the Roma game, Tammy Abraham’s brace allowed him to take centre stage against his parent club.
As Calciomercato.com recall, the away fans at San Siro booed him on Wednesday night, especially after the two goals that helped Milan advance to the next round. Abraham heard it, and he did not like it: “They hurt me, because everyone knows what Roma fans meant to me.”
Before, the Englishman was considered Morata’s assistant or deputy, today he is the first alternative to Santiago Gimenez. Abraham knows he doesn’t have a starting spot, but in these months his performance will be kept under observation by the management and coach.
Having arrived on loan as part of an exchange with Alexis Saelemaekers, it is not excluded that at the end of the season Milan could sit down to talk with the Giallorossi management to try to get him on a permanent basis.
It is unlikely that the Belgian winger, who Conceiçao likes, will be included in the deal. The Portuguese coach is studying him from afar and would like to bring Saelemaekers back to base in 2025-26 to keep him.
The main obstacle linked to Abraham’s possible permanent stay at Milan is linked to his salary of €6m net per season, considered too high at the moment. If the player were willing to reduce his salary – arriving at around €3m – then it could be an idea for the summer.
No, please do not get back Saladmakers. He is mid-table level player, never been nor never will be for high level clubs such Milan.
I honestly don’t see why you think that. Granted, he is not world-class but he has more than proven himself on many occasions, and he seems to be getting better now that he has consistent playing time. He has always been a decent deputy to the wings, and arguably a good starter before we got Pulisic. The only problem is I don’t think he’ll be happy to be on the bench now for the games when he has been a regular starter for Roma (and Bologna in the past). It will be more likely that we sell him rather than keep him.
It is interesting how experts on SM and various SoMe dosen’t like Saledm wheras much professional coaches do.
I think one of the reasons is, Saled is super reliable, as he does what he is told and plays with great disciplin.

I think Salad is precisely Conceicao’s identikit. A defensive winger that works hard. He will be great in 4-4-2 when we need to hold a lead. Chuk out, and Salad returns. That will also generate funds for greater needs, like Ricci. Roma can keep Abraham.
But, he is better than Chuckwueze. Take him back and keep Abraham by money form Chuck. RLC, Pobega, dan Adli could be sold to buy Ricci.

Well first, we’re not sure if Conceição is going to stay or not.
Honestly I’d swap Chukwueze for Saelemakers in a hearbeat and I think he fits Conceição’s ideas of football. He is relentless, hard worker, presses a lot and defends more or less well. His problems are lack of a true wingers quality.
Know it remains to be seen if Saelemakers is willing to go back to a team he left because of lack of playing time.

smart move, saelemakers is a good player, he has developed and matured as a player. Would be good to have him back and sell Chukaweze for 12-15m. Tammy needs to finish the season off great for us to consider signing him permanently. At this stage his stay beyond this season is not justified.
Saelamaekers is OK as backup but can we please look at the UEFA squad lists. We have so many empty slots because no academy/ league trained players.
We have to find more italians, and backup winger seems the appropriate position to fill given many people commented the overall talent pool of Italians is not so good, hence difficult to find many genuine starting calibre players.
There are pleanty of quality Italians out there but you need to pay for them. Or get them before they explode. Right now best striker in seria A is Retegui and then Moise Kean. If someone think that Abraham or Morata are better than them they should watch different sport lol.
Retegui wont help in any way for the squad list… he is not coming from Italian club academy. He just got his nationality after playing in Argentina for his whole youth… he will be count as foreign player.
Dont see where Kean fit unless we won’t sign Tammy. And its questionable if he will be willing to be Gimenez’s deputy after finlly getting regular starting position(and scoring more regularly too)
First options : Leao left, Pulisic right.

If he stays, for another year, Joao Felix can be strong deputy for all positions in attack. So Saelemaekers seems like decent back up.
Chukwueze than needed to be sold.
Abraham is unreliable. He misses game winning chances. Saelemaekers will work hard every game and does good work defensively. It doesn’t matter what Conceicao wants. Whoever is in charge in July, probably not Moncada, will probably sent Abraham back.
I was waiting for this – he’s very much a Conceicao player.
He was patchy for us, and I didn’t rate him at Bologna, but he’s been brilliant this season.
The problem with his last season with us is he was starting opposite prime Leao and he’s just not that level. But you win trophies with solid, hungry deputies.
Bring him back, sell Chuk, hide the irony under a Dudy cushion.
Six million salary for Abraham is wild. No one in their right mind is paying that.
Taking Salaemakers back is a stupid idea. Orsolini is the perfect backup for Pulisic. As for Abraham I highly doubt he will stay at Milan unless he finishes the season with 20+ goals in all competitions.
Please take saelemakers back, will be good back up for pulo. I think we don’t need abraham for next year when we have Santi n buy Felix. Just bring back colombo and give camarda a chance.
