CorSera: Abraham on the table for Milan as Roma look to raise funds

By Oliver Fisher -

Another source are reporting that AC Milan have been offered the chance to land Tammy Abraham from Roma as they look to offload players.

Milan are still looking for a new striker ahead of next season and while Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna remains at the top of the list with things quite advanced, they have also been forced to evaluate alternative options.

The Diavolo have already reached an agreement with Bologna and the player, but have yet to reach a decisive handshake with Joorabchian. However, as we recently reported, Joshua’s brother Jordan could be the key to unlocking things.

Thus, Milan are looking into back-up plans given the difficulties they are having in getting Dutchman. As Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, in the last few hours Roma have proposed Tammy Abraham to the Rossoneri.

The cost of the operation would be €25m plus bonuses and it would see Abraham reunite with his close friend and fellow Cobham graduate Fikayo Tomori. The striker struggled with injuries and made just eight Serie A appearances, scoring one goal.

Roma are looking to sell players no longer deemed a part of their plans so they can raise funds to make signings, and Abraham is clearly deemed expendable even if they are not going to bring back Romelu Lukaku.

  1. Imagine the smile and smugness I’ll have when all the RedTurd fanboys have to square the circle of Tammy Abraham being the super striker we’ve been needing for so long…after last summers promise that ‘next summer’ will be the huge striker investment and we end up with Abraham…..Tammy is a decent player but let’s not forget the promise versus delivery aspect of this..just get Icardi and use Camarda as well…..hell…renew Giroud for another summer because ‘next summer’ promise….next summer will be the one

    1. No joke aside, and all personal subjectivity aside, Icardi will be the solution of all of our goal scoring problem. He would also bring the kind experience we need to replace Giroud.

      1. Mate I’ve been for icardi for 4 years, great striker, he is proven. For me it’s the clever move.we either sign a young sub 26 year old striker or go for icardi and wait for camarda

  2. I really liked him at his first season at Roma and wanted him, but he was never the same after that horrific injury he had. No thanks.

He’s someone you’d take on a loan with option to buy as a backup to a starter.

This. I wouldn’t mind him being the backup but he definitely isn’t a starter material.

      1. In his first season at Roma, he was potentially a starter. But… not now. Even fit, he isn’t a starter at Roma anymore. And certainly wouldn’t be for us.

  3. No!! Stay away from him! Get a real player not a player who thinks he is the best in the world but is actually 10th choice for his country
