CorSera: Boban emerges as serious candidate to be AC Milan sporting director

FIFA General Secretary and former AC Milan player Zvonimir Boban could be announced as the new sporting director later this week, a report claims.

Milan have been looking to fill the position since Leonardo left the role last week, as he did not agree with the direction of the club.

Boban is a former Milan player, and Croatian national team player. During his time at the club, Boban won 4 Serie A titles, a Champions League and Italian Supercoppa.

According to il Corriere della Sera, Boban will be the first of the new management roles officially announced by the club. The announcements are expected on friday, when they will hopefully add Paolo Maldini to the Technical Director role.

Boban will be another former player that will join a management role with in his former club.
