CorSera: Chelsea defeat already forgotten as Milan bounce back ahead of return

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan bounced back in the best way possible from the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea earlier this week, beating Juventus comfortably by two goals to nil. It’s yet another sign of this team’s maturity, as a report highlights.

The defeat at Stamford Bridge could have easily destroyed the rhythm for any team, especially with another big game straight after. However, Milan sometimes seem to thrive in difficult situations and clearly didn’t have the loss on their mind yesterday.

As highlighted by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), Milan forgot the Chelsea defeat as soon as they started preparations for the Juventus game. Momentum has been regained thanks to the win and there is confidence ahead of the return on Tuesday evening.

Not only have Milan received a confidence boost, but they also seemingly found a better system for their current situation (given the injury crisis). In fact, Stefano Pioli’s choices were a tactical masterclass and Juve really didn’t stand a chance in the end.
