CorSera: Crestfallen Ibrahimovic was in a sour mood after defeat against Porto

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not in a very good mood after AC Milan’s defeat against Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night, a report has revealed.

The Rossoneri were condemned to their third straight defeat in the group stages as they were beaten 1-0 by Sergio Conceicao’s team at the Estadio do Dragao with Luis Diaz scoring a second half winner that the home side fully deserved in truth, even if there was controversy about the build-up to the goal itself.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) opens with the following on the Swede in the aftermath of the game: “Back leaning against the wall, a mood that can’t be darker.”

The game had been over for an hour and the bus had been running for a while, waiting to take the team back to the hotel, but Ibra continued to move in silence. He signed a couple of autographs and took some selfies, but his gaze said was that of a man who was furious and gutted.

If he could have, he would have returned to the field and immediately replay the match against the Portuguese side, the paper adds.
