GdS: AFCON commitments have Milan searching for a midfielder – early arrival for Adli possible

By Oliver Fisher -

The idea of Yacine Adli’s arrival at Milan being brought forward by six months has once again emerged in today’s newspapers.

Milan announced the signing of Adli from Bordeaux on deadline day. The midfielder signed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri and it was agreed that Adli would be sent back to the French side on loan for this season, where he is impressing.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Milan’s transfer men are at work ahead of the January window. Considering Franck Kessie’s contract situation and the fact that both he and Ismael Bennacer will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations in January for a few weeks, the Rossoneri could try and sign a new midfielder.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have a few names on their wish list, but the hypothesis that Adli may bring forward his arrival at Milanello should not be overlooked. In recent days the Frenchman spoke about his imminent new experience in Serie A, and it could arrive quicker than imagined.
