CorSera: Whistles and t-shirts – what the Curva Sud have planned for Donnarumma

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma will be back at San Siro for the first time to face AC Milan as an opposition player tomorrow night when PSG are in town, and the fans have a special welcome planned.

This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) speaks about what the Milan supporters have planned for Donnarumma, in particular those in the Curva Sud Milano, who are preparing for his return.

There is still a lot of animosity regarding the goalkeeper’s exit given he came through the Rossoneri’s youth sector and made his debut aged 16, but ended up leaving on a free transfer to join PSG in 2021.

The paper states that fake money will be thrown and whistles will be used against Gigio, a bit like what Inter did to Romelu Lukaku in their recent home game against Roma.

There will also be a special t-shirt with the number 71 that many will wear in the Curva. In Neapolitan folklore (Donnarumma is originally from Castellammare di Stabia), this number literally represents ‘The ommo e merda’. In short, a man without too many values.

  1. See guys, I don’t think this is the right thing to do. The team is playing a game where our chances of winning are less than 10% (Considering 3 of our players had minor injuries just 3 days before and our bad form). These guys were the ones who criticized the treatment Curva Nord gave to Lukaku during their recent encounter, and now they are doing the same thing. As much as I want to see 80K fans booing $, I don’t believe this is the right game and the right time for all this.

      1. Indeed and looking at our recent performances that hasn’t instilled much hope for tomorrows match this might actually be the only thing to look forward for and hopefully he will have a shaky performance as he gets rattled as he finally sees the light of the day of how hated he has become in the club that he annoyingly still keeps professing that that is close to his heart.

        1. I can’t deny that. Everything is fine as long as we win, but it would be embarrassing to lose after all this to an artificial club. I think he might be prepared to get whistled and booed throughout the game, but if we do this in this scale, it might work on him mentally and psychologically. It’s just if we lose, that would be a bit embarrassing for us.

          1. I get that and i wont deny that either but looking at how he reacted the first time he returned to san siro compared to the second one with the international team i think something of a great magnitude might be exactly what we need to pull out of our sleeves. If he is jeered every time he is in possession of the ball he might make some bad calls that can favor our game.
Either way it will be a spectacle to behold and i cant wait to see some huge banner artworks taunting him.

    1. No sorry not having that
dollar runner could have bought Milan a big fee which could have been re invested in the club even if he wanted to leave at least we would of had a return in the time and effort the club put in bringing him through the system but instead him and his now departed prick of an agent mino wanted to get more commission amd more and more in wages

The game is the game we’re far from great at the minute and we all know there la a mistake in the bell end
Regardless of the result he will never forget his return to San siro in club football

      Forza Milan

      1. I also want Dollarmerda to be petrified by the welcome he will receive, but let’s take this from another perspective. This game will decide whether we will qualify for the UCL or not. The player need moral support, so rather than funneling your focus on encouraging the players, you are focussing on some a$$hole.
While I understand our hatred against that son of $itch they should divert their focus on the things where their moral support is required the most.
Regardless of the result, I will always have my teams back.

        Forza Milan

        1. Unfortunately if the team aren’t up for this then we don’t deserve to be in the CL after the weekends abysmal performance those players shouldn’t need motivation to be up for this because when piolis gone some of them won’t get a game anyway so they need to step up and step up big time
If players like Rafa think there world class then they need to show it Tuesday night because all the fancy tricks and flicks can be found at my lads u12s on a Sunday morning ….they need to deliver

    2. Absolutely correct, this can be another rallying point for PSG, extra motivation, something we need more than them.

This curva has displayed a lack of common sense, judgement, principles and clarity on many occasions, quite often at that.

They are making it evident omce again, that they are not the brightest pennies in the fountain.

  2. Grow up guys @curva sud. The team needs moral support, not booing someone that has already moved on. Let’s channel our energy to where it’s needed.

  3. Everyone saying the curva needs to prioritize our winning the game and not booing dollaruma has a vaild point…….However, who doesn’t like to see a disloyal ingrate get his comeuppance??? I know we all remember just how in the lurch his move left the club plus the shenanigans that enveloped his one year renewal before he ditched us and shat on the club’s finances anyway! I know the Curva has not forgotten because I personally can’t stand the guy’s face till today. That said, carry on and make his night one to remember gents! Win lose or draw, the guy needs to understand that revenge is a dish best served on a cold rainy night at the San Siro courtesy of a bunch of irate red and blacks! If anything, I hope Calabria on the toss opts to have Dollaruma right under the Curva Sud from the start. I bet he cries, that’ll make my night and even soothe a loss if we don’t win, lmao.. Either way, 🖕Dollaruma!!

    Forza Milan!
