Paolo Maldini, the current technical director of AC Milan, is yet to renew his contract with the club and the same goes for Ricky Massara. The situation is still looking complicated, as a report explains.
The renewals have been in the pipeline for quite some time now and an announcement has been expected. However, on the final day of their current contracts, there is still no agreement in sight and the situation is indeed a bit worrying.
According to today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera, as cited by SempreMilan, Maldini recently sent back the proposed renewal to Elliott. In agreement with his lawyer, he made a series of modifications including getting more power than before.
As things stand, the American hedge fund seems unwilling to accept this and therefore, the whole situation could be delayed for several days or even weeks. The Rossoneri currently risk beginning the pre-season (July 4th) without a technical and sporting director.

Now, the Director’s contract negotiation is this lengthy, I fear when these guys have to approve negotiations reached for our targets, that’s the reason M&M want more powers, cos they’ve seen that these guys are bad at negotiating and not timely in their deliveries.
Ultimately, they will sign the contracts, but with these bunch of owners, we ain’t seen nothing yet.
