CorSera: Fallout over failed Super League continues – Maldini left ‘very annoyed’ at Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Technical director Paolo Maldini has been left very annoyed by the way the European Super League saga was handled by AC Milan, a report claims.

The media headlines surrounding not only Milan but football in general have been dominated by the Super League, which was announced earlier in the month but now already appears to have died a very quick death.

Speaking before the game against Sassuolo last week, Maldini made the shock revelation that he had no idea about the launch of the competition until he saw it officially announced, effectively confirming it had been agreed without his involvement.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), a few days have now passed since the creation and immediate failure of the Super League, but this story has left some aftermath for Milan. That is because Maldini is ‘very annoyed’ at not even having been informed the involvement of the club.
