CorSera: Ibra and Pioli’s message to Milan is clear – a strong, clear and immediate reaction is needed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to deliver a message to his squad at Milanello today after a bad weekend, a report claims.

The Rossoneri lost 2-0 against Spezia on Saturday night meaning they failed to take advantage of Juve’s loss to Napoli, while Inter then beat Lazio 3-1 to take top spot in the Serie A table back.

As this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera writes (via MilanNews), A defeat cannot and must not erase the good things the Rossoneri have done so far. However, the loss in Liguria should not be underestimated because it was arguably the worst performance of the season.

Today at Milanello a face to face is expected between Stefano Pioli and the team and the Milan boss is expected to tell them that they must immediately go back to being humble and excited. An immediate reaction is needed, because the next few weeks will be very intense. It is the most important moment of the season and therefore an immediate restart is needed.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was visibly affected by Saturday’s defeat and he knows well that the team are at a key point of the season, so no more can be committed missteps like that of La Spezia. This was something he told the team after the game. The reaction of the Rossoneri must be strong, clear and immediate.
