CorSera: Ibrahimovic wants to cut recovery time by one month – renewal imminent

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently recovering from knee surgery and he’s expected to miss the first half of the 2022/23 season. In spite of this, AC Milan are keen on renewing his deal and an agreement is imminent.

The Swede, now aged 40, decided to have surgery at the end of this past season to sort out the knee that bothered him for the second half of the season. Towards the end, he was only able to play for ten minutes and only trained in the group once a week. ‘

According to Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic is determined to make it back as soon as possible and he intends to cut the recovery time by one month. That would mean that he would be back in January.

In addition to the recovery, a renewal is also in the pipeline for Ibrahimovic as Milan are happy to keep him for one more season. Obviously, the salary will depend heavily on the number of appearances, but the Swede is not against this.
