CorSera: Ibrahimovic may have new strike partner as Pioli considers major tactical change

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is considering making a major change to his starting XI moving forward, according to a report.

Monday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive.it) takes stock of the recent situation regarding the Rossoneri’s attack, acknowledging that Ante Rebic has been the match winner for Milan in their last two games having proven his worth from the bench.

He netted a 93rd minute winner against Udinese a week ago before again coming on as a substitute against Brescia, this time scoring the only goal inside the final 20 minutes to make it four wins in a row for Milan in all competitions.

The paper claims that the Croatian could be promoted to being a starter as a result of his recent impact, and that it could be Rafael Leao who is a victim of this.

This is because Rebic would be used as a striker next to Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Leao has gone slightly downhill recently despite the initial enthusiasm regarding his partnership with the Swede.
