AC Milan face a ‘very complicated’ road if they are to secure the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu with three teams waiting to pounce, a report claims.
Calhanoglu has been involved in 17 goals (8 goals + 9 assists) in his last 12 games foracross all competitions, showing his importance to the team and to Pioli’s system.
Sky Italia (via MilanNews) reported on Wednesday that Calhanoglu has certain career objectives like playing in the Champions League as a protagonist, and there are teams interested in signing him as a free agent like Juventus and Atletico Madrid given that his renewal will not be easy.
Although the management have claimed they are ‘confident’ about being able to renew Calhanoglu, il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report that it will be very complicated for Milan to reach an agreement.
It isn’t only because of the high demands that the 26-year-old is set to issue, with the paper claiming he will ask for €5m net per season therefore doubling his pay, but also because the Rossoneri number 10 has several admirers, in particular Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
