After announcing the renewal of Theo Hernandez, AC Milan are also working on an agreement for Rafael Leao, who has been in red-hot form largely. And the Rossoneri are getting closer, a report claims.
In 2022, Leao has bagged five and assisted an additional three goals for the Rossoneri, exploding compared to the first half of the season. Although Milan were working on the renewal before this as well, this has just fuelled their eagerness.
According to today’s edition of Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), the renewal is ‘ever closer’ for Leao as Milan are ready to triple his salary, just like they did with Hernandez. In other words, he will be bumped up from €1.5m per season to €4.5m.
In addition to Leao, Milan are also working on the renewal of Ismael Bennacer and it seems an announcement is close for that as well. The Rossoneri are making important moves on and off the pitch, therefore.
