AC Milan are closing in on being able to announce the renewals of both Gianluigi Donnarumma and Franck Kessie, according to a report.
Friday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive) reports how the club have accelerated contacts with their respective agents in the last couple of days.
During these talks, the Milan management reiterated their desire to keep both players for a long time and give them a central role in the future project.
Donnarumma is obviously the more thorny issue given his current deal expires in seven months, but the 21-year-old has always wanted to renew and his wish will be granted.
Kessie meanwhile has a contract until June 2021, but the Ivorian will soon be armoured with a new deal to ensure that he remains part of the double pivot for years to come.
On the other hand, Hakan Calhanoglu still seems to be quite far from finding an agreement because of the high requests of his agent Gordon Stipic, but there will be a new meeting mid-December.
