CorSera: Milan interested in Croatia veteran but Man Utd move more likely

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain interested in a move for Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, a report claims, but they are lagging behind one club in the race.

The Rossoneri have struggled to score all season having netted just 11 goals in their first 12 games so far this campaign, their worst return at this stage of a season since 1994.

One target who has been constantly linked over the past few weeks is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the latest report from La Repubblica (via MilanNews.it) claims that the Swede is asking for €1m-a-month to join Milan.

According to Saturday’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews.it), Juve forward Mario Manduzkic is among the targets that Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban have drawn up.

Boban in particular is keen on the idea of bringing his compatriot to the San Siro, however the 33-year-old ‘seems hesitant’ about the possibility of moving to Milan, the report adds.

Mandzukic has apparently already rejected moves to both Qatar and China, and the striker is waiting for a move to the Premier League with Manchester United now in pole.
