CorSera: Milan offered chance to sign €50m-rated Lazio star by agents – the response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Luis Alberto from Lazio but Elliott Management seem to be against the deal, a report claims.

Alberto failed to show up for Lazio’s preseason retreat in Auronzo di Cadore which has fuelled speculation that he is looking to leave the capital club this summer to start a new adventure elsewhere, and Milan have been repeatedly linked.

According to the latest from il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the Spaniard’s agents have offered the player to Milan and the attacking midfielder is very much admired by the Rossoneri, however the asking price has put them off.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito – clearly not happy with the situation developing – wants €50m if Alberto is to leave the club and that means the operation is not in line with the philosophy imposed by Elliott Management, who prefer to invest in younger players and not amounts that high.

  1. Would be an upgrade over Calhanoglu but everyone knows Milan can’t afford players with a price tag over 15M€. Move along, nothing to see here.
