CorSera: Milan once again interested in Torino striker Belotti amid contract doubts – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are once again interested in a move for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to a report, with his contract situation becoming precarious.

Milan have of course been linked with a move for the forward before, with reports in 2018 stating that they saw a bid of €50m plus Patrick Cutrone rejected, but this summer may represent a better time to sign the boyhood Milanista.

It was claimed by both Tuttosport and La Stampa over the summer that Milan have not given up on Belotti and could launch a move in the future as they look for an heir to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to il Corriere della Sera, the Rossoneri are indeed still interested in signing the Italy international who will turn 27 in December. Against Inter on Sunday he will play his 200th match with the Granata and a brace would put him on 100 goals, while he has already netted six league goals this season showing he is ready to make the decisive leap to a contender.

The paper claims that half of the Premier League are interested in Belotti again, while in Italy it is Milan and Inter who are leading the way. His contract expires in 2022 and it is therefore likely that by February the parties will start discussing a new deal.
