CorSera: Milan pick No.1 replacement as Donnarumma saga drags on – why Raiola is buying time

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma wants to renew his contract with AC Milan but the situation is becoming increasingly precarious, a report claims.

According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), Donnarumma’s priority is always to renew with Milan because he has always been a fan of the club and he dreams of playing the Champions League with the Rossonero shirt. As the deadline approaches though, it is becoming clearer that a top four finish is essential for the young goalkeeper’s stay.

Without a return to the Champions League the scenario would change and for this reason his agent Mino Raiola continues to take time and not give a definitive answer to the club, who have offered a five-year deal worth €8m net per season. Gigio has the ambition to play the most important European competition, his dream would be to do it with the Milan shirt, but at the moment there are still no certainties.

There are mainly two clubs that are interested, namely Juventus and PSG, and to avoid being caught unprepared in case he does leave some replacements are being eyed. Juan Musso of Udinese is the first name on the list, and he is valued at €25m.
