CorSera: Milan to say goodbye to two important figures once the season is over

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to say goodbye to two key figures once the current season finally comes to a close, according to a report.

Milan secured a 2-2 draw against rivals Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Sunday night, a good result considering the Rossoneri looked tired and off the pace compared to their recent impressive displays.

Stefano Pioli was satisfied once the final whistle blew having seen his side underperform against a well-drilled Gennaro Gattuso side.

As il Corriere della Sera points out today (via MilanLive), snatching a draw despite a poor showing is yet another sign of growth under Pioli, however it will not be enough and his farewell is inevitable.

Moreover, technical director Paolo Maldini is also set to depart the club. In an interview before the Napoli game he stated he has no regrets for the way he spoke out against probable new manager Ralf Rangnick, and his words seem to suggest that he will walk away once the season is done.
