CorSera: Negotiations between Milan and Ibrahimovic at advanced stage – one thing missing

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing in on sealing his return to AC Milan with negotiations now at an advanced stage, a report claims.

On Monday night La Gazzetta dello Sport issued a report stating that the Swede has told close friends of his decision to move back to Milan, with some economic agreements still to be ironed out.

According to il Corriere della Sera – as cited by MilanNews.it Ibrahimovic is now one step away from Milan. The negotiation is at an advanced stage, the paper claims, but a total agreement has not yet been reached.

Ibrahimovic is expected to finally reveal his intentions imminently, and the only thing which need solving is the length of the deal: the striker continues to ask for 18-months guaranteed, while the Rossoneri have put a deal on the plate until June, with the renewal dependent on qualification for the Champions League.

Understandably, the former PSG man wants stability to enrol his children in school without moving them after a small amount of time.

Napoli do not yet feel out of the game, the report adds, but Ibra would only choose them if they got into the knockout stages of the Champions League and if Carlo Ancelotti was confirmed as head coach.
