GdS: Zlatan Ibrahimovic informs friends he has chosen to return to AC Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has informed those close to him that he has chosen to return to AC Milan, according to a report.

The Swede is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management desperate to fix both the goalscoring and leadership issues in one swoop.

On Monday evening La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Napoli have made an 18-month offer to Ibrahimovic, but now the same outlet has provided a crucial update.

According to the newspaper, the 38-year-old has chosen to return to Milan, and he has told his friends about his decision.

There are still economic issues to be resolved however, as Ibrahimovic is not satisfied with Milan’s first offer (€2m for the first six months, €4m for the following season) as well as the formula.

The Rossoneri have apparently offered a six month deal with the option to renew based on the club’s league finish, something which Milan believe is a serious and fair offer.

There are ‘external consultants at work’ to try and get this done, not just the agent of the player Mino Raiola, to complete what now seems to be a formality.
