AC Milan are optimistic about resolving the renewals of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu positively, a report claims.
The media headlines regarding Milan are being dominated by the team’s poor form and the fact that the management have thus far been unable to secure the futures of two key performers in Donnarumma and Calhanoglu, both of whom are only under contract until the end of the season meaning a cloud is hanging over them at the moment.
According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), discussions over the renewals of the aforementioned duo continue to take place at Casa Milan. The parties have been in talks for some time and, according to the paper, there continues to be optimism filtering from the club regarding both the goalkeeper and the Turkish player.
It will of course be necessary to turn that optimism into two signatures and put an end to what has become a long and drawn-out saga.
