Gerry Cardinale and his RedBird Capital are one step away from taking over AC Milan, currently in advanced talks with Elliott Management. The founder was in Milano last week and will return today.
As reported by Corriere this morning, Cardinale was present for the Scudetto celebrations last week and as you can see in the featured image, he was spotted by reporters. Indeed, he was also present on the bus for the parade the day after the photo.
He was in the city to work on the takeover talks and he will be back again this week. The deal is on the basis of €1.3bn and Elliott Management are expected to keep a minority share of 30% in the club.
The next step for Cardinale, besides completing the deal with Elliott, will be to speak with technical director Paolo Maldini. The club legend has asked for clarity and expects to get it soon, also because the mercato is somewhat blocked now.
