Some information has emerged regarding the recovery of three AC Milan players who suffered injuries towards the end of last season.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) writes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recovery is proceeding well. The Swede underwent knee surgery on June 18 but wants to be back in time for August 22 – the first game of the 2021-22 Serie A season.
Milan boss Stefano Pioli gave an update on Ibrahimovic’s condition at his preseason press conference yesterday: “The professors who operated on him were very satisfied. I think that in a couple of weeks at the most we will be able to see him out running.”
Meanwhile, the recovery of full-back Davide Calabria is also proceeding well and he should rejoin the team in a few days after having a hernia operating on, while Ismael Bennacer is ready to train with the team after an operation on his foot after the season was completed.
It is positive news for Pioli then, who should have a full squad at his disposal very shortly to continue preparing preseason.
