CorSport: AC Milan joined by rivals Inter in pursuit of €35m Argentine

By Oliver Fisher -

Inter have joined AC Milan in the race to sign Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com reported in September that Milan will make an attempt to sign De Paul in January, and that Paolo Maldini has already told his agent he is a huge fan.

They added that the player is ready to try a new experience next summer at the latest, with a price tag of around €35million mentioned.

Then, former Juventus director Luciano Moggi made the bold statement that it is practically all agreed for De Paul to join Milan.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) though are reporting that Inter are now interested in the idea of signing the 25-year-old, who has 18 goals in 115 league games for Udinese.

However, the Nerazzurri hierarchy are only considering making a move next summer, meaning Milan are in pole position should they choose to make a serious attempt in January.
