Ismael Bennacer will be the holder of the regista position over his more experienced new team-mate Lucas Biglia, a report claims.
The young Algerian has arrived on a deal believed to be worth €16million plus €2m in potential bonuses.
He’s preparing for a new adventure in his career, having signed a five-year deal with the Rossoneri, and revealed in first first interview with the club that he is ‘willing die for the team’.
The midfielder will enjoy a few more days off to recover after the African Cup of Nations – in which he was named Player of the Tournament.
He will join up with his new team-mates on August 10, but after Biglia’s impressive preseason performances there had been speculation he may not be the first choice starter.
According to Monday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport, there is no doubt in Giampaolo’s mind about who will be the starting regista for next season.
Bennacer will be the owner of the position, however the Argentine’s experience will make him a valuable alternative in every occasion.
