CorSport: Leao disappointed with himself and eyes turning point in derby

By Isak Möller -

Rafael Leao has struggled to reach the heights of the first half of the season lately and AC Milan are hoping that he can turn things around tomorrow. The Rossoneri will face Inter and could the winger in great form.

Since the World Cup break, the Portuguese international has struggled to reach his best form, most likely because of the constant contract rumours. As that situation has calmed down a little, Milan are now hoping that he can shine.

As highlighted by Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), not just Milan expect more from Leao but also the player himself. He’s eager to show his worth and the derby is the perfect game to do it, just like he did in the reverse fixture (3-2 win).

It feels like ages since that derby took place but it’s just five months, and Leao now has a new chance to be the star of Milano. In the expected 4-3-3 formation, he will link up with Olivier Giroud and Alexis Saelemaekers in attack.
