CorSport: Loan hypothesis emerges for Bordeaux midfielder as Milan aim to minimises expenses

By Oliver Fisher -

The possibility has emerged that AC Milan could sign Bordeaux midfielder Yacine Adli using a loan formula, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) reports that Milan are hoping to get Adli on loan with option to buy, so as to minimise their outlay in the current summer window. However, it will be an uphill task to convince the Ligue 1 club.

Adli’s contract expires in June 2023 meaning it is difficult for Bordeaux to let him leave with this formula, as there would be the risk of having him return one year from the expiry of his deal and therefore without the possibility of being able to generate as much from a sale.

The paper adds that it is likely the deal can only be done outright or at most with a loan that includes an obligation to buy, so as to give guarantees to Bordeaux.

  1. Loan with obligation to buy for 12 million would be a good deal for Milan than a permanent deal. Milan can save their money for attaching area. 12 million from Hauge next year could pay directly to bring Yacine permanently.
