CorSport: Milan want appearance-based contract for Ibrahimovic next season

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic underwent surgery to fix his broken knee a few days after AC Milan secured the Scudetto and his plan is to play one more season. The Rossoneri are ready to renew his contract, a report claims.

Ibrahimovic will be out for 7-8 months and that means he will miss the first half of the season, potentially making it back for late January 2023. With this is mind, the renewal with Milan will not include a huge salary.

In fact, as reported by Corriere Dello Sport (via SempreMilan), Milan wants a contract that depends a lot on performances made money-wise. The base salary of the contract shouldn’t be that high, in other words, but bonuses could increase it.

Ibrahimovic published a picture of himself outside Casa Milan yesterday, taken during the amazing Scudetto celebrations. He wrote ‘Casa Ibra’ as the caption and that is a pretty clear indication that he will remain at the club. One last dance, perhaps.
