CorSport: Milan dealt another injury blow as Daniel Maldini suffers tendon inflammation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been dealt another injury blow as Daniel Maldini has sustained a problem on international duty, according to a report.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the young attacking midfielder – who scored for Italy U20s against England – was forced to leave their camp yesterday due to inflammation of the patellar tendon.

This comes after Calciomercato.com and MilanNews among other sources are reported earlier today that Junior Messias is on the sidelines again due to a new muscle strain. The 30-year-old underwent an MRI and found a problem in his left thigh, with a new check-up due in 10 days.

It leaves Stefano Pioli light in the attacking department again with Brahim Diaz the only natural player capable of occupying the playmaker role. With numerous recent reports suggesting a new attacking midfielder is a priority for January, the current situation might push the management further in that direction.

  1. Well. Means Paolo and Massara should be more active and work hard in January transfer market.

Looking for a fitness trainer 😁😁
Try to be young and transfer free. So it will conform to Elliot’s management philosophy…

  2. If these injury woes continue, then I doubt we will lift the scudetto this season.

The medical team can do better like yesteryears.

Maldini and Massara need to act like sharks in the January transfer window.

I believe now is the time to sign Roman Faivre and Andrea Belotti
