CorSport: Milan fans could make up 50% of the crowd away at Hellas Verona

By Euan Burns -

Around 50% of the crowd at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday night could be AC Milan fans, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the match at the Bentegodi is a sell-out with 31,000 tickets having been sold to fans.

They are not all there to see the home team in action though as it is thought that around 16,000 people in the crowd will be Milanisti.

A similar event happened at the Stadio Olimpico when Milan beat Lazio 2-1 recently. As the Rossoneri have fans all over the country, often more than just the away allocation end up being Milan supporters.

Stefano Pioli’s side may need every bit of support that they can get as it will be tough to beat Hellas Verona knowing that Inter won against Empoli on Friday night.

The Rossoneri are now one point behind their city rivals heading into the final three games. They will go back to the top with a win or draw on Sunday.
