CorSport: Milan-Lille axis strikes again – Botman and Sanches in the pipeline

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan and Lille continue to have a very good relationship on the market. After Rafael Leao and Mike Maignan, the clubs could complete two operations this summer, namely Sven Botman and Renato Sanches.

Milan and Lille have very good relations and that most likely has to do with Elliott Management’s past involvement in the French club. The Rossoneri have no reason to complain about this, having signed Leao and Maignan from them in the past.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan have reached an agreement with Sanches on the personal terms and there is a distance of just a few million with Lille. The meeting point could be €15m, with a total agreement in sight.

As for Botman, the situation is more complicated due to the competition from Newcastle but Milan remain optimistic. The player wants to join the club and the Rossoneri have put €30m on the table for Lille, which is still a significant offer.
