CorSport: Milan owners make promise to Rangnick over control as move draws closer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to give in to a key demand that Ralf Rangnick is making in order to hopefully get him to agree to joining, a report claims.

There are conflicting reports from different media outlets at present regarding the future of Milan’s head coaching position. Some believe Rangnick is set to occupy a role as both manager and sporting director, while others think Pioli could stay on as the German has not reached an agreement.

Tuttosport claimed earlier on Wednesday that not only does Rangnick have a set budget already agreed, but that there is a list of reinforcements also prepared to try and improve the Rossoneri squad.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Singer family – owners of Elliott Management Corporation and therefore Milan as a club – have identified Rangnick as the right man to entrust with relaunching the club.

The paper claims that the American fund are willing to give the German full powers both in the management of the team and in the search for new players. The 61-year-old German, in this sense, from the first contact several months ago began to study Italian in order not to be found unprepared.
