CorSport: Milan rushing to close deal for Real Madrid forward but €20m agreement is imminent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan would like to try and close the return of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid before he leaves for Tokyo, according to a report.

Today’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Brahim Diaz is getting closer to rejoining Milan as directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are very close to obtaining the approval of Real Madrid regarding the formula of the deal.

It will be on the basis of a loan with the option to buy set at €20m and a buy-back in favour of the Spanish side. The goal of the Rossoneri is to close the deal shortly, otherwise the risk is that the deal could drag on close to the start of the season.

That is because the 21-year-old playmaker will most likely be involved in the Olympics in Tokyo with Spain, and that will go on into early August should they go far, meaning Brahim would only be available close to the start of the season.
