CorSport: Milan’s interest in Lazio star persists despite reservations – work of agents crucial

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reignited their interest in Luis Alberto after their pursuit in the summer and he could be set to leave Lazio, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) dedicates a section to what is becoming another quite difficult situation for Lazio to try and manage. After reporting late for preseason camp in order to try and force a move, Alberto was reintroduced into the fold by Maurizio Sarri following an apology and seemed to have settled back in.

However, the player has once again found himself out of favour under Sarri and Milan, after their summer interest, are still keen on landing the 29-year-old even if the management are a bit worried about the attitude he is showing.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito wanted €50m for the No.10 in the summer but that was a figure Rossoneri never came close to offering. In a deal involving another player something could happen this time though, and the agents of Alberto will be crucial in facilitating an operation.
