CorSport: Napoli not willing to pay €50m asking price for Milan, Chelsea linked forward

AC Milan and other interested clubs have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Lille star Victor Osimhen, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan are looking at potential replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and while Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is the priority, Osimhen is also a player the club are watching.

The latest from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that Milan are not the only team keen on the 21-year-old, as Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are also credited with interest.

Footmercato, Telefoot and SportMediaset all claimed Napoli had agreed personal terms with the Nigeria international, however things are not as straightforward as the Partenopei would hope.

However, according to il Corriere dello Sport on Thursday – as cited by Football Italia – Lille ‘risk ruining the deal’ as they have set their asking price at €50m, which is €38m more than they bought him for a year ago.

Napoli are hoping the player will push his club into selling for lower but are now looking at other targets as a result.
