Report claims Milan strike target will snub summer move despite €70m Liverpool, Spurs bids

By Oliver Fisher -

Lille star Victor Osimhen is set to snub interest from a number of big European clubs in order to remain in France this summer, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan are looking at potential replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and while Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is the priority, Osimhen is also a player the club are watching.

It has been suggested that Osimhen could command a fee of up to €60m this summer with Real Madrid among those strongly linked.

According to the latest from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (via MilanLive), Milan are not the only team keen on the 21-year-old, as Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are also credited with interest.

Nonetheless, the report cites sources close to the player and reveals that he has decided to stay at Lille for another season and will therefore refuse a move away in the upcoming window.

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss (via Area Napoli) earlier on Tuesday, Italian journalist Diego De Luca also revealed that Liverpool and Spurs have made big offers.

“Victor Osimhen? He is a player owned by Lille,” the journalist said. “The deal is very complicated because there are various teams on the player.

“Liverpool and Tottenham have offered €70million for the player. In the short term, there may be some news on the renewal issue.”
