CorSport: Renewal of Tonali’s loan now most likely solution as talks with Brescia continue

By Oliver Fisher -

A new hypothesis has emerged regarding the future of Sandro Tonali as the formula of the deal may be changes, a report claims.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), Tonali is the subject of negotiations between Milan and Brescia who are studying the correct formula to find a new agreement. The paper notes that the clubs have until June 15 to strike a deal as that is when the current option to buy expires, and the most likely scenario at the moment is a renewal of the loan with an obligation to buy and not an option.

Despite Cagliari’s interest in entering into the discussions in case things stall, Milan have guaranteed to the player that he will stay beyond the end of the season, considering him a valuable piece for the future. Tonali made 37 appearances for the Rossoneri across all competitions including 25 in Serie A.
