CorSport: Talks for Calhanoglu intensifying as Torino ready bold offer

Talks between Milan and Torino are intensifying over the transfer of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, a report claims.

Despite starting the first game of the season away at Udinese – playing in an unfamiliar regista role – Calhanoglu’s future with the Rossoneri appears to be uncertain.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recently stated that there was interest from a number of clubs in Germany which was forcing the former Leverkusen man to consider his options.

Then, Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) first reported that Torino were interested in acquiring Calhanoglu, and this was backed up by Calciomercato.com earlier on Thursday.

Now, il Corriere dello Sport (via MN24) are claiming that the talks between Milan and Torino for Calhanoglu are ‘intensifying more and more’.

The Granata have identified the Turkey international as a  ‘necessary reinforcement for the midfield’, and as such are likely to make an offer to Milan, the report adds.

The newspaper goes on to state that the bid will likely be a loan in which Milan would retain part of his salary.

However, Maldini and the rest of the leadership will push for a loan with obligation to buy as an outright sale to the Turin-based club is almost impossible.
