CorSport: Two Serie A clubs want Bonaventura; midfielder waiting to hear from Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Two Serie A clubs are interested in the idea of signing Giacomo Bonaventura on a free transfer, according to a report.

MilanNews.it reported last month that agent Mino Raiola met with the Milan leadership to discuss a potential deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but that Bonaventura’s future at the club was also a topic of conversation.

La Gazzetta dello Sport added that the Rossoneri made it clear to Raiola that they would like to keep Bonaventura as they consider him a ‘precious element’ – not only from a technical point of view but likely also in terms of the experience he provides.

According to Calciomercato.com though – who cite il Corriere dello Sport – his situation is attracting the interest of Fiorentina and Roma, both of whom are interested in the idea of signing the midfielder should his deal expire.

However, the outlet adds that Bonaventura has decided he wishes to remain at Milan and is simply awaiting a phone call to begin renewal talks.
