AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone revealed his delight after scoring a match-winning brace against Sampdoria.
Cutrone came off the bench for extra time and netted with two superb volleys either side of the interval as the Rossoneri booked their place in the last eight of the competition.
“I am very happy, above all that we got through to the next round. I’m glad to have been helpful to my teammates,” Cutrone told Rai Sport, via Football Italia.
The Rossoneri will face the winner of Napoli vs. Sassuolo, but on Wednesday they will face bitter rivals Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia.
“We’re in good shape and will try to prepare as best we can for this fixture,” Cutrone revealed.
