Daily Mail: Milan leading Arsenal and Spurs in race to potential bargain deal for midfielder

By Isak Möller -

With just two games left of the season, Milan are on the verge of securing their spot in next season’s Champions League, which would result in a budget boost. And the Rossoneri are already monitoring a few names on the market.

According to Daily Mail, Milan are one of the teams interested in Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu, who has three goals and three assists in Eredivisie this season. In fact, the Rossoneri held talks with the 20-year-old’s entourage last week.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in the midfielder but risk losing out as Milan are ahead in the race, as evidenced by the contacts. Feyenoord are currently battling for a spot in Europe and it’s something they need to keep the player.

Should they fail to qualify, as the report continues, then they could be forced to sell Kokcu at a cut-price. Good news for the teams interested, in other words. It remains to be seen if Milan will proceed with their interest this summer.
