DAZN: Leao comes off after feeling discomfort with Pioli shouting ‘Rafa come off’

There was a real worry for AC Milan when Rafael Leao was brought off during the first half of the game against Lazio this afternoon.

As DAZN (via MilanNews) report, despite the 2-0 win there was some worrying news for the Rossoneri, especially in view of the Champions League derby against Inter coming up with the first leg on Wednesday.

As reported by journalist Federica Zille, Leao felt some discomfort a few minutes into the game against Lazio, so much so that after Ismael Bennacer’s opening goal he was not even able to bring himself to cheer.

Pioli himself, when the Portuguese was still on the field, exclaimed: “Rafa come off, Rafa come off.” During Theo’s goal, however, the Portuguese winger got up to cheer.

At the end of the first half he returned to the dressing room with the Milan doctor, and further updates on his condition are awaited.
