MN: Why De Ketelaere, Origi, Tomori, Brahim and Messias will miss Liverpool game

By Oliver Fisher -

There are some notable absentees from this afternoon’s game between AC Milan and Liverpool at the Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.

MilanNews report that Charles De Ketelaere, Divock Origi, Fikayo Tomori, Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias will all not take part in the game as they have not even been named on the bench by Stefano Pioli.

Apart from the Belgian forward – who has a muscle problem – each of the other four players are currently doing individual work and therefore were not deemed in the right condition to play against the Premier League side.

The most worrying news therefore relates to Origi, who has apparently suffered a strain in his flexor muscle and could therefore be looking at yet more time out due to injury. He would have no doubt loved to have faced off against his former club, but will instead have to watch from the sidelines.

  1. I don’t know if flummoxed is the right word. Liverpool even scored in just six minutes. I know it’s just a friendly but I’d hate for us to embarrass ourselves in it. 🤦🏾‍♂️

    1. 1-1 Alexis scored

Winning isn’t the main goal here but match fitness for players so they can be ready for next month matches.

  2. How could they not be in the right condition to play? They played a few days ago. Warming down or precaution is different to not being in condition

  3. Origi is once more proving that we should have not signed him he was a bench player at Liverpool for some reason!Giroud with us in two seasons lost a total of 11 games to injury with 36 years Origi on the other hand from July 5 of 2022 wen he joined us has already lost 6 games to injury with 27 years this is just a flop! But some hallucinated fans said that Origi was going to destroy Serie A and would score 30+ goals to me looks more like hes gonna miss 30+ games due to injury!
