CorSera: De Ketelaere remains a ‘mysterious object’ after spurning another big chance

AC Milan were able to get all three points during last night’s game against Monza but Charles De Ketelaere once again missed the chance to open his account.

Today’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) writes that De Ketelaere ‘remains a mysterious object’ as even against Monza the Belgian missed a glorious chance to get his first goal since joining the Rossoneri.

De Ketelaere came on in the second half in place of Brahim Diaz, and he had an incredible opportunity to double the advantage for his side but a few yards from goal he hit Pessina who was guarding the goal line.

The €35m investment is still not bearing fruit and at the moment the 21-year-old still looks lost. It is the second game in a row in which he has had an inredible opportunity to score but has spurned the attempt, which has therefore not helped relieve the mental fog.

  1. Giroud must have let the ball rolled towards him directly, he would’ve scored. He was not ready mentally to receive a pass from Salamaekers and it came on to his weaker foot. Lets hope things turn around well by the end of this season
