De Ketelaere ‘cannot wait’ to shine for Milan as ‘physical’ Empoli clash awaits

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Empoli, which will kick off in 30 minutes, Charles De Ketelaere shared his thoughts with the media. The youngster will be looking to open his account with the club.

Since arriving from Club Brugge in a €35m deal this summer, De Ketelaere has done well but he’s still lacking his first goal for Milan. It’s something he’s well aware of and tonight’s game will be a good opportunity for him to do well.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, De Ketelaere stated that Milan have prepared well for tonight’s clash. He also admitted that he wants to do even better with the red and black shirt, in line with his qualities.

How did you prepare after the break?

“We have focused on this match, we want to bounce back from the defeat against Napoli.”

On Empoli…

“They play with two forwards in a very vertical way. They have a very physical game, but we have prepared ourselves.”

What do you make of this first period at Milan?

“I’m happy to be here, now I’m just thinking about the game and doing the best I can. I want to improve and I can’t wait to show my qualities.”

It remains to be seen if he will break the ‘deadlock’ this evening, even if many fans are happy with his contribution thus far. A goal would certainly be good for his confidence ahead of the big clash against Chelsea next week.
