More confirmations are continuing to roll in regarding AC Milan reaching an agreement with Olivier Giroud over his contract renewal.
According to Anto Vitiello of MilanNews, Milan’s work on renewals continues and there should be another new entry to the list within the next ten days as Giroud will sign a new contract with the Rossoneri.
The desire to renew was always a mutual one because the management know that the French forward is one of the pillars of Stefano Pioli’s side and the player feels valued too.
The salary that the 36-year-old will earn will be kept at €3.5m net per season and not raised despite suggestions claiming otherwise, with no option for a second year either.
Now, the strategy of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara ahead of the summer window remains to be seen, with several outlets expecting a new striker to arrive who could be mentored by an experienced figure like Giroud.
