In January of 2017, AC Milan brought in Gerard Deulofeu from Everton on a six-month loan. The Spaniard was successful with the Rossoneri but in the end, he returned to England and that was that.
The fast winger quickly became a fan favourite at Milan and helped the team get several wins. The most memorable one is probably the one against Bologna, when the Rossoneri were down to nine men and Deulofeu brilliantly assisted the winner.
Since his spell with the club, he has been with Barcelona, Watford and Udinese. This season he has three goals and one assist for the latter, doing quite well for himself in Serie A. Who knows what could have been if he had stayed at Milan, though.
In an interview with SportWeek, as cited by MilanNews, Deulofeu spoke about his time at the club and stated that he has the club with him in his heart.
“I was very good at Milan. I felt strong because I was trusted from day one. At Milan you can breathe the air of the big club, it is something you perceive immediately, everywhere, inside and outside Milanello. I carry Milan in my heart, always,” he stated.

Deulofeu is in our hearts. When he played with Milan, our team moved forward, and rapidly. I remember the game when the ball seemed hopelessly out of reach but he ran for it, and from near the corner flag crossed the ball into the penalty area and we scored.
I wonder why Milan decided not to keep him. Great player
Barcelona spoilt everything they exercise their buy back clause in his contract only for him to be benched and never really achieve his true potential. Moral of the story the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Imagine dollaruma went in dollar chase only to make his agent rich while making himself poorer than he could have been with Milan. Deulofeu we still love you at least you remember what you were able to achieve in six months with Milan. But players Milan gave everything are the ones being so ungrateful. Moral of the story some human are worst than dogs, at least dog remember who care for them but some human and loyalty they are just two parallel lines that can’t meet.
