Di Marzio: Buongiorno pursuit ‘very difficult’ but Milan will try – the offer planned

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluca Di Marzio believes that AC Milan will persist with their attempts to sign Alessandro Buongiorno and while a January deal will be difficult, he did hypothesise a potential offer.

Di Marzio began a segment for Sky (via MilanNews) about the Torino captain by remarking the following: “He’s the big objective, but I don’t know how achievable it is. It’s a very difficult operation.”

Torino have always said that they don’t want to sell the 24-year-old and that the player doesn’t want to leave. Milan, for their part, wants to insist and want to try and break down the resistance.

In the next few days they will make an initial offer and perhaps increase it in the last few days of the January mercato. The Rossoneri know that the Granata are big fans of Lorenzo Colombo and for this reason they would like to include him in the negotiation.

There are several things to understand, in particular what amount Milan will be able to offer and whether they will actually be able to put €30m on the table, therefore €20m plus Colombo.

If Milan reaches this evaluation we will see what Torino will do but we also also need to understand what the player wants to do too.

This time something could change in Buongiorno’s mind compared to the summer when Atalanta wanted him but he said no, the journalist states.
